Welcome to the age of social distancing and self-protecting quarantines. While there is no known cure for COVID-19, there are steps you can take to ensure that you’re as health conscious as possible.
Wash Your Face & Hands Often
We’ve all been advised not to touch our faces; but this is easier said than done for some. If you have a habit of playing with your beard or mustache, for example, this can be a difficult habit to break. To be proactive, be sure to clean your face thoroughly. Morning showers, evening showers, bathroom breaks–anytime you’re near a sink, do yourself a favor and rinse your face with warm water. In addition to your face, make sure to wash your hands religiously, too. If you’re the type of person who only washes their hands after they use the bathroom, then it’s time to make some changes. To start, practice washing your hands before and after every meal you eat. Once you get into this habit, you’ll likely increase your hand washing sessions even more.
Eat More Vegetables & Drink More Water
Realistically, the coronavirus affects us all differently. Contrary to what some may say, younger folks are not completely immune to it. In addition to practicing social distancing, you should keep your immune system strong by exercising and eating vegetables, lean meats, and drinking water. This way, if you do happen to contract the virus, your immune system will be prepared to put up a good fight.
If You Go Out, Wear Gloves
While we do encourage you to stay indoors, we do realize that there are certain times when you’ll need to leave the house. Whether you’re going to the grocery store, the bank, the pharmacy, or just picking up a take-out meal from a restaurant, make sure to wear protective gloves. Need some recommendations?
